My Latest Beauty Purchases featuring Pure Fiji and Scunci

I've been finding myself buying less beauty products lately, but when I do buy something it's because I need it and because I know it will be something good. It's easy to be swept away with needing to have the newest and greatest within the beauty world, but guess what - you'll never keep up. There will always be the newest lippy, the newest mascara and newest nail polish to behold and don't fear if you miss out because something new will be around the corner in ten seconds. My only weakness is Bobbi Brown and her amazing palettes, they are always on the top of my wish list.

My love of Pure Fiji is well known. I had run out of products to spa at home with and I decided to snap up a few of my favourites. This also coincided with their 20% off August special, and with free shipping being included for orders over $109. What I like about Pure Fiji is that their products are natural, they are infused with essential oils and they are so good for my body. They are also cruelty-free.
The coconut infusion is one of my favourites, and the scent is so real without being too sweet. The Nourishing Exotic Oil can be used as a bath and body oil, and I like to use it right after a shower so that the moisture is locked in.
The Hydrating Body Mist is a mix of coconut milk, dilo leaf and gni grass and I like to spritz it on morning and night. You don't even have to rub it in because it soaks in so quickly - this is the lazy girl's kind of body lotion. The Island Bliss infusion is divine and it's a mix of lavender, mandarin and patchouli essential oils. It's beautiful!
The Coconut Sugar Rub is probably the best body exfoliant I've ever used. The fresh sugar cane crystals gently buff your body, but it's the blend of oils that truly make this exfoliant a standout because you don't have to moisturise after getting out of the shower. This is also great for a one minute manicure or pedicure if your hands and feet need a little TLC. The Coconut Sugar Rub is also great for prepping the skin before shaving.

I was also running out of my "won't-go-anywhere-without-it" Dilo Oil. I can't get enough of this clever oil with its healing properties and soothing effect. I use it on any breakouts threatening to occur and it's also great as a serum. My Mario Badescu Drying Lotion has been kicked to the curb and replaced with a gentler and less stringent version.
For the past month or so I've been scrambling to find a hair tie before running out the door. Whilst I've perfected my getting ready in ten minutes in the morning routine, the hair tie chase does add an unecessary minute or so which I don't need. On Saturday I hit the shops with a mission and was rewarded with the Scunci No Damage Value Pack which has 60 hair ties and it left me silver change from a $10 note. Hopefully this should last me until the end of the year. The colourful ones are good for the beach and the gym, and the black ones are perfect for more corporate occasions. They are also metal free which is non-negotiable to me and as such they will leave your hair with less damage.

What have you bought lately?

Xx I

    1. I don't know how we do it. Hair ties and bobby pins have excellent escape reputations in my house...

I only use metal free hair ties - using metal is just not worth it... X
