Five weeks ago I attended the launch of the Elucent Whitening Range from Ego Pharmaceuticals. The Elucent Whitening Range is available from Chemist Warehouse stores exclusively this week and I thought I'd tell you my thoughts on three of the products today. Everything in the Range costs $49.99 with the exception of the Exfoliating Cleanser ($29.99) and the Hand Cream ($24.99).3. The Emblica Fruit Extract brightens the skin whilst the Vitamin B3 evens out the skin tone. Since using it I have found my complexion to be clearer and brighter. It has also made me be less lazy when it comes to regular exfoliation. By using an exfoliating cleanser the skin cell production acts more quickly to bring non-pigmented skin to the surface and the skin is left brighter and clearer. I have sensitive skin and have had no reaction to the Whitening Exfoliating Cleanser.
At night I have been replenishing my skin with the Whitening Night Moisturiser which contains the same great ingredients as the Day Moisturiser: Emblica Fruit Extract, Safflower Seed Oil and Vitamins B3 and E, with the addition of Vitamin C which reduces discolouration. There is no SPF in this one and if I'm going out in the evening I apply the Night Moisturiser before adding makeup so that my face won't look ghost-white in photos. It works a treat. Hydrated skin always looks healthier and the rich cream assists in restoring the moisture that has been lost throughout the day. The brightening ingredients in the Night Moisturiser also assists in reducing the appearance of pigmentation whilst you dream at night.
At the launch we were told that in order to see results, the bare minimum of products used should be the Exfoliating Cleanser plust the Whitening Day and Night Moisturiser because together the trio combats pigmentation, increases the appearance of an even skin tone and reveals a brighter complexion. Results should become visible within four weeks. A study performed by Ego Pharmaceuticals revealed that 94% of the 50 women in the trial-team said that their skin looked more radiant and 96% said their skin appeared brighter.
I've found the trio to be working really well for me. The Exfoliating Cleanser keeps my skin bright and exfoliatied, the Day Moisturiser hydrates and protects my skin and the Night Moisturiser replenishes my skin whilst I'm sleeping and my skin is definitely having a great glow at the moment.
Have you tried a whitening range before?
PS - Stay tuned for Part 2 of the Elucent Whitening Range Review.
These items were gifted to me at the launch, but it has not affected my opinion at all. If you want more information, see my disclosure policy here.
