Sally Hansen's Frutti Petutie + Manicare's Mirror Shine Top Coat

Happy Friday lovelies! It's so good that it's the weekend again. First of all I thought I'd update you on how my Rock Beauty Metallic Foils have been going for the last week. I was very impressed by their longevity but I did notice that the top of the foils kind of pulled back quite quickly so I used a top coat every other night to make sure that the tips of my nails were protected. The top coat I've been using is from Manicare and it's the Mirror Shine Top Coat which is just brilliant. The top coat dries quickly, is very shiny and it gives great protection against chipped nails.

Removing the Rock Beauty Foils was surprisingly easy and I did it after a shower so that it was easy to peel them off. A little of the glue stayed behind and I just used a little nail polish remover to get rid of that. My nails had grown and they also looked strong so the foils don't seem to have caused them any harm.
I've also been using the Manicare Beginning to End polish as a Base and Top Coat which has a great triple action formula to protect, seal and strengthen my nails. I love using it as a base coat and I also like that I can use it as a top coat if I need to. It is also Formaldehyde & Toulene free which is another bonus.
The colour I picked for the weekend was an easy choice - the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in the shade Frutti Petutie (540). The Complete Salon Manicure promises five qualities in the one bottle; Base Coat, Strengthener, Growth Treatment, Colour and Top Coat. Whilst I realise that it promises a base and top coat, I still think that it is a good idea to use a separate product for added shine and to protect the base of my nails.
I really like the finish of the colour and it does have a gel-like quality about it. The brush is also wide and super-easy to use. I applied two coats and felt that the Mirror Shine Top Coat really added some smoothness and a better finish to the polish.
The reason I picked a pink polish is that I am going away this weekend with my sister-in-law for her hen's weekend and the theme is a "touch of pink". Whilst I didn't want to go over board (and already wore my pink hot-lips dress at her engagement party) I decided to go for pink nails and perhaps a pink lippy on the day. I am yet to pack my stuff so I'll see what ends up in my makeup bag.
The weather in Sydney has been glorious and I hope it sticks around for the weekend, I want to soak up as much sunshine as possible before winter sets in.

I hope you have a great weekend!

Xx I
