The Christmas Party Look

Last night I went to my work's Christmas party and it was simply sensational. Fantastic food, great company and lots of fun concersations happened. We were all very merry and bright! I only picked my outfit fifteen minutes before we were headed out the door. I just couldn't make up my mind. Since Sydney was quite rough and windy I went for the blazer/jeans combo. My blazer is from River Island, my tees are from Jag, the jeans are from Lee and the long necklace is from H&M (bought in Berlin) and the collar is from Shabby Sisters. Love it all!
My glitter boots are from Wittner and I absolutely adore them. You just can't go wrong with a bit of sparkle.
When I was in the car I decided to take off the long necklace and use it as a bracelet instead. It appropriately matched my birdie Marc Jacobs bag. Double the birds, double the fun.
We had dinner and drinks overlooking the beach and it was stunning. A grey day can be just gorgeous.
I loved the table setting in the restaurant and this candle holder gave great warmth to the room.
My boyfriend's big sister wore some gorgeous neon orange shellac nails. Since I ran out of time to do my nails before the party (hello power nap), I had major nail envy.
The food was divine and amongst calamari, mushroom arancini and meatballs there was also deep fried olives stuffed with feta. My absolute favourite! I had a gorgeous lamb/couscous/tzatziki combo for a main and for the dessert there was vanilla creme brulee (the spoon made a perfect cracking sound on the top) and the best tiramisu I have ever had. It was delicious.
On the eye area I wore the Benefit eye bright pencil on the waterline, I used the Diorshow Brow Styler to tame the caterpillars and the nvey eco concealer to cover up dark circles. On the face I used the SHE pure minerals foundation, the Australis concealer to hide any blemishes and my new obsession; the Nation Blusher in Rouge Glow. I'm obsessed with it and I am convinced that blush is the new bronzer. On my lips I wore the Simply Organic lip balm for moisture and Clinique's Long Last Lipstick in Sugared Maple. I also kept a handcream from India Hicks in my bag to make sure that my unmanicured hands were at least well-moisturised.
The blush swatch is on the left and the lippy swatch is on the right. They both have the right amount of sparkle and shimmer without being too disco.
It was a fabulous party and although it was early in December, I was (and still am) really feeling the Christmas spirit. It was also a novelty to have my Christmas party in December because when I worked in hotels, we usually had them in February because December is such a busy month.

Have you had your Christmas party yet? Any thoughts on what outfit to wear?
