Spot The Deodorant Error

I have written about my quest for natural deodorants before on the blog and after I found the Garnier mineral deodorants I was going to stick with them for good. Unfortunately I finished my Garnier and the shop I went to for a deodorant re-purchase, did not stock the brand. Quelle horreur! I thought, okay I will just get the Nivea again, since it has been my favourite deodorant since forever. Unfortunately, as soon as I started using dear Nivea, I had instant irritation and had to stop using it immediately.
I made sure to go to Priceline the next day and picked up each Garnier mieral deodorant on offer. I got the InvisiMax for sports and heat, then there was the InvisiMineral for permanent freshness and lucky last, InvisiCalm which is perfect for calming down the skin after shaving. These deodorants are also anti-white mark warriors and they work really well. My one gripe is that they promise 48 hours of effectivity but they just can't deliver on that promise. It honestly just isn't necessary either, I would be more than happy with 24 hours.

My favourite part is that the Garnier mineral deodorants have no alcohol, no parabens and no aluminum. I am convinced that this is what makes them so gentle and non-irritating and it was the final sign I needed to say goodbye to my old favourite Nivea.

Which deo do you use? Do you prefer more natural options or not?

  1. I haven't tried natural deodorants but I do need to. I tend to get smelly quickly (I swear I shower every morning! ha ha), so I need something heavy duty. I might try some of these though!

  2. I use the Dove pink ribbon deodorant all year round. It works great for me and I love that some of the $$ goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

  3. I use Soapwalla natural deodorant and it really is amazing. It works so well for a natural deodorant - something I never thought I'd find. I wasn't aware that the Garnier was free of aluminum though, I might have a look at the mens range as I need to find a natural deo that my partner will use (he's not keen on the application of the Soapwalla).
