Happy New Year!

I am really excited about 2013. I can feel that it's going to be a fantastic year and I am ready for it.
Whilst 2012 was a good year, I just know that 2013 is going to be that much better. A year ago I celebrated New Years Eve in New Zealand and this year I will be celebrating it in Norway with great friends and my gorgeous man. We are planning a three course dinner, there will be lots of wine and perhaps some fireworks. Time will tell.

In order to start 2013 I also had to replace my diary from Personal Planner because I managed to lose it when I was in NZ in October. I am a clutz like that. I got the most colourful one I could, from the ever amazing Kikki K. Their stuff is the best!

So much pretty!
I also got a gorgeous notebook from my sister and brother in law for Christmas so I have been writing down some of my favourite quotes and I also wrote the dreaded New Years resolutions.
The first resolutions is really scary but I think I have enough handbags (I even got two more for Christmas and I bought one from H&M) and it's got to stop. This will also help me with number two on the list - saving money. The easiest thing to do is to save 10% of your income and then it's done. Number three is pretty fantastic. I love sleeping but I often feel like I should do more so I don't get enough rest. 2013 will be the year of guiltless sleep. I can't wait.
Dreaming is important and I have some exciting and achievable dreams in store. There are also some pretty unachievable dreams too and I just have to keep striving to get there. Anything is possible. My love of travelling is also just going to increase. I did a lot of travelling in 2012 and am hoping to do even more in 2013.

Number six ties in with number three. Less stress, more (and better) living and less worries. Sounds like a much better plan. The housewife thing is also a necessity, I want to improve on my domestic godessing. It can be quite fun you know. I just have to get there. Number eight is just for me. I love writing and I want to make sure that I can do it more regularly because I enjoy it so much. I don't think that every New Years resolution should be hard because it can be a gift to give yourself more time to do something you really enjoy.

I hope you have a very happy New Years Eve and that 2013 brings on everything you could wish for. Remember, don't be too hard on yourself with the resolutions, be kind instead. It's much easier that way.

Xx I

  1. I hope you're having a wonderful time with your family. Have a wonderful NYE XO

PS I hope to do more travelling too! It's so great seeing other parts of the world and knowing how lucky we are in OZ.

    1. Thank you gorgeous A, I hope you have an amazing NYE too! You get to celebrate 10 hours before me:)

I look forward to seeing where the travelling takes you. Hope everything went well with the move Xx

  2. Sounds like some great resolutions. I rarely make any, but I do know this year I need to work my way through some makeup! Ha ha!x

    1. Thank you lovely. They should be easy enough, with the exception of the handbag resolution;) I have to do the same, 2013 will be the year of finishing makeup;) X

  3. Number 7 is a big one for me too! Although i already do all my own stuff at home, once I move into my place I'll have no one to fall back on. It's been fun. I'm learning to cook proper meals, I learnt how to fold a fitted sheet and I'm really enjoying it!

    Good luck with your resolutions!

    1. Haha, glad I'm not the only one;) Sounds like you are doing really well V X

  4. Dear Ingrid, may all your dreams come true in 2013! All the best! Happy New Year!
