I picked up a few exciting beauty products in New Zealand and my skin is just loving them. It can be scary to change a skin care regime but it is also exciting when your skin reacts positively to the change. I am feeling more and more drawn towards natural products and whilst I'm not ready to make a 100% switch, I am loving the feeling of changing some products here and there. The beauty industry is also catching up and there are so many natural and organic products to choose from now, it is really exciting.Mario Badescu Drying Lotion and instead I am using the Thursday Plantation Medicated Gel for Acne to heal annoying pimples. Because the Gel contains Tea Tree Oil, it is a natural fighter against pimples and it is very gentle and will not leave any scars. I am a fan, and it won't break the bank at $10.99. I got mine from Priceline.
The Comvita Olive White Brightening Eye Serum contains Olive Leaf Extract and is described as "a silky serum to brighten the eye area". I really like it and it leaves my eye area nice and refreshed and I have noticed that my dark circles are lighter. My issue is that I find that the pump bottle is impractical because I am either pumping out too much or too little. On the one hand I don't want to waste the precious liquid but on the other hand I don't want to use too little either. I have probably gone through half the bottle in six weeks as a result of this. This one costs $32.50 and I got it at Auckland Airport.
The Skin Deep Rejuvenating Facial Cream is absolutely sensational and I bought it in my post-spa glory at the Polynesian Spa in Rotorua. The pump bottle is not an issue here because I want a five cent piece to come out and it always does. Consistency is key. Core ingredients in this beauty include Manuka Honey, Evening Primprose Oil and Echinacina Extract. I can feel that it has balanced my skin whilst also nurturing and hydrating it.
A new addiction I have is to spritz my face several times a day with the Antipodes Resurrect Facial Toner. It cools and hydrates my face and it is also perfect for setting makeup in place before heading out the door. Some of the ingredients are lavender stem, sweet sage and chamomille flower and it is a gorgeous combination.
Skin Deep Creamy Cleanser but it has unfortunately not fared too well. It fell from the bathroom counter three times before it had had enough and half the cleanser was on the floor. Whilst my skin loved the calming cleanser, I don't have much left of it thanks to the accidents (think Humpty Dumpty) so I have reverted back to the Clearasil PerfectaWash and all is well again.
