Noosa Travel Beauty

I am currently in gorgeous (and warm) Noosa where the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the beaches are magnificent. I'm here for 5 days and as such, I did my best to travel lightly. Hand luggage only is the way to go, especially since the line to check in luggage at the airport was a mile long. It felt fantastic to just bypass it, shoot straight through security with no annoying beeps and for once I was not "randomly" selected for bomb residue testing. I do have to question how random their selection is since the last six times I've been on a plane, I have been chosen as the lucky one. I don't mind though, it's become part of my travel routine and it is a quick and easy procedure.

Moving on, this is what I brought for my hair. The newly released Pantene Aqua Light shampoo and conditioner which does feel super light in my hair and I love the scent. Perfect travel size and this was a freebie I got with New Idea this week. As a semi-treatment/frizz eraser I brought John Frieda's Frizz-Ease Finishing Creme which is a secret weapon indeed. It does the trick even in hit and humid Queensland and smells sensational. I need a big tube of this stuff once this is finished.

Next up are the essentials for the body. The Protect Me sunscreen from Sportsgirl is more like a luxurious body lotion and does not feel or smell like a sunscreen at all. As a body lotion I am using the gorgeous Guinot firming body creme which gives both shine and hydration and although I would love to have a full sized product, I fear the price tag would give me a fright. Then again, you often get what you pay for and this stuff is the bomb. Absolutely love it. As a hand cream I am using the Neutrogena anti-ageing hand cream with SPF 15 qualities. obviously a Norwegian must use a Norwegian formula creme. I also had a delicious ham and cheese melt this morning using Jarlsberg cheese which is also Norwegian. We joke that with Jarlsberg you really pay for the holes in the cheese, not the cheese itself. Lucky last is the all-rounder saviour and the one and only Golden Ointment from Lanolips. It is so natural, so good and so golden.

On the face I am using a Comvita trio. The Purifying Cleansing Gel is used morning and night (delicious), the Intensive Hydrating Mask as a night cream and the Gentle Revitalising Exfoliant is perfect to use as a thorough cleanse every other day. In the mornings I apply Neutrogena's Healthy Defense SPF 30+ and the gorgeous and slightly battered Herbal Recovery Eye Cream from Jurlique is used twice a day. Here's to hoping for healthy and nurtured skin with no sunburn and lots of hydration. So far it's working!

For the lips I am using Natio's Moisturising Lip Balm in SPF 30+, Lanolips 101 Ointment and Lanolips Lip Ointment in Mulberry. It's a win-win on all accounts and my lips are well-protected from the sun whilst still being moisturised.

On my toes I am wearing the Smarties blue perfection that is Sky's the limit from Australis. I have also brought (but not yet used) a mascara from Bobbi Brown and Benefit's Brows a-go-go. On high rotation however is the golden Travalo (filled with Chanel Beige), Australis Paparazzi Perfect HD tinted moisturiser, posie tint from Benefit (pink perfection for the cheeks), and a concealer from Clinique which covers up those 4.30am alarms.

All in all I am happy with the items I have brought and they are all serving a purpose. I have a lot of sample sized products had by trying them I get a chance to compile my wish list of full sized products for when I feel the need to update my beauty collection. I always keep a list on my phone and that way it's easily accessible, it can be updated in two seconds and its great in airports too. At the moment a full sized posie tint from Benefit is on the top of my list. I love that it can be used both as a lip and cheek tint and it also gives a great natural flush which suits all skin tones. It's absolutely brilliant and takes up next to no space in a makeup bag.

What is on the top of your beauty wish list?
