Bobbi Brown - Pretty Powerful

I really like Bobbi Brown and it didn't take long for me to snap up her new book, Pretty Powerful. The way she writes is like she is speaking to me and her makeup is divine. I also like that she is very family focused as well as invested in her health. Not a bad inspiration to have at all.
There are SO many gorgeous women in Pretty Powerful and the good thing is that there are lots of before and after shots, as well as some day and night looks and maps on how to make the looks happen. It really is foolproof and so inspiring.
Bobbi is just sensational and I know that it can be hard work to look good but nine out of ten times it is worth it. I almost think I am over my mascara avoiding (just the thought of removing it at night makes me tired) and I'm ready to get back into the game.
I absolutely adore this mantra. Easy rules that make me feel like one comes after the other. It's easy to be confident when I'm feeling comfortable and great to be active when I'm happy. I do want to frame this.
Talented actress, and gorgeous lady, Gabourey Sidibe looks absolutely sensational with matching blush and lippy and strong brows. I love it!

In amongst great pictures and lots of advice, there are six chapters of looks and examples of women who just are Pretty Natural, Pretty Radiant, Pretty Strong, Pretty Classic, Pretty Authentic and Pretty Bold. This Classic Beauty sketch was one of my favourites.
Then there's Anne, who looks stunning with berry lips, strong eyes and pink blush. Her brows are also giving me major brow envy!
My favourite is the stunning Blythe Danner who I have always liked. She might be more known as Gwyneth's mother but I think she is a fabulous actress and drop dead gorgeous. It may be crazy to say it but she makes me look forward to growing old with grace and beauty. It can be done.
Being a positive person myself I think she is spot on with this quote. Negativity is out, brightness and happiness is in. It's all about being comfortable and surrounded by good people, whilst doing what makes you happy.
I have really enjoyed reading and experiencing Pretty Powerful and I know I will read it again and again, if only to get inspiration from lots of everyday glamorous women who have such genuine smiles and are proud of who they are and how they look.

Which Pretty Powerful look are you? What's your mantra?

Xx I
