Project 50 Pan - The Travel Edition

Whilst travelling I did quite a good job when it came to finishing some of the products I brought with me. It's always interesting to see which products will work and which won't and I learnt a lot from this trip. I posted yesterday about my top three travel products and today I will bring the Project 50 Pan count down from 27 to 21. You may be thinking that there are more than six products in the picture but I am counting the three mini hair products as one since they are travel sizes.
The Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is one of those legendary cleansers that everyone mentions and I have to say that I really like it. Perfect for sensitive skin and it is also a cheap cleanser which costs less than $10. Whilst I do like it, I have decided that I want to use more natural products on my skin and a such I was happy to leave this one behind in Auckland on Saturday.

I absolutely loved philosophy's hope in a jar moisturiser and I am sad it's all finished and the jar is cracked from all my travelling. This is a moisturiser that sinks quickly into the face and I would be happy to re-purchase it in the future.

Another beauty is the Time Zone Eye Cream from Estee Lauder. It is perfect for preventing wrinkles in the eye area and this is the second pot I have gone through. The 15 mls last a long time and I did my purchase when Estee Lauder was offering a good GWP so at least there is a gift at the end. I would buy this again but I probably won't since there are so many exciting new eye creams on the market. Trying new products is just so fun.

A product that slightly disappointed me was the multivitamin hand and nail treatment from Dermalogica. I have always liked their products but I didn't like this hand cream because it didn't sink in fast enough and it was a little too liquid for me. I therefore used it as a body lotion instead which worked perfectly since I had forgotten my intended body lotion at home and it really hit the spot. It was ticked of as a win-win in my books.

One of my favourites is the Garnier Mineral Deodorant which contains no aluminium and works perfectly for my sensitive underarms. There is no irritation, yucky smell or anything bad. I really like it and it is another perfect budget buy. I also love the packaging and the contrasting colours. So cool and I think it is the best deodorant I have ever used.

When it comes to hair serums, Frizzy Logic from O&M is simply sensational. It smells amazing, has lots of good argan oil and tames the tresses like it's nobodys business. The small package has lasted me many months and is perfect as a member of the handbag necessities too. After I have applied a small amount to my hair I rub my hands together and use it as a little dash of hand serum too. It is simply too good to resist.

I also used Simply Organic's Everyday Hair & Scalp Wash and Rinse and I was left a little underwhelmed. The Wash works really well as a cleanser and it lathers up nicely. The scent is also lovely. My problem was more with the Rinse because it just didn't condition enough and my hair didn't feel moisturised afterwards. I wouldn't re-purchase this duo again but this is why it is such a good idea to just try mini-sizes first so that you can see how it will work in your hair.

Now that I am over halfway through P50P I am getting really excited about finishing it but I did do some (as in a lot) of beauty spending in New Zealand and I am almost embarrassed to show you but I am really happy with what I bought. Stay tuned for that post, there will be lippys, organic skin care and more.

What products have you finished lately?

Xx I

  1. I love the O&M serum. I like that you still did the PP on your holiday! Very cute :)

  2. I have also tried the Simply Organic's Everyday Hair & Scalp Wash and Rinse and I super love it. It leaves my hair soft and manageable. I used to have lots of tangles but now it is much lesser.

  3. I've finished my P20P (bath and shower) - so YAY! Looks like you're plowing through too :) x
