New Organiser from Personal Planner

I have never been good at keeping my organiser up to date and I recently realised that it is about time that I got started because I forgot my parents 30th wedding anniversary (I knew it was in July but not the specific date), I also need a diary for work and for scheduling my free time and upcoming travels. I went on a little search but it was hard to find a planner that would work for me. My local newsagent still sold diaries from 2011 for full price and I got a bit over it because I didn't want to wait until 2013 to be organised. I therefore did a quick google search and managed to find a website called Personal Planner where you have an option of four different sizes and everything can be customised. I went for the A5 size which costs $45 including shipping. I then selected the starting month to be October, picked purple as my colour of choice for the front page and got started. It was really easy to do.

I decided to have a purple border with a chevron pattern and I also chose to have the dates and days in Norwegian. We have name days in Norway and it's always fun to see who has their name day on a certain day. On the bottom of the page I chose to have the week's workout in the left hand corner, the week's to do list to the right and the list of the week on the right hand side. Feeling so much more organised already!

I really like the design and the font is great. At the back of the planner you can choose three themes and I went for the 2014 calendar first.
Then the geek in me went for sudoku. I love a numbers game and it is great to have on hand when you are bored or in transit.
Lucky last, 40 pages ready to be filled with notes, inspiration, affirmations, memories, ideas, new years resolutions and more.
It took about two weeks for the personal planner to be delivered and I am really happy with it. I also think that this is a wonderful gift and there are gift vouchers available for sale from the website.

Do you use a planner? Have you thought of getting a customised one?

Xx I

  1. I've always thought about having a planner but I never get around to buying one. When I do want one, we're normally already halfway thorough the year and I leave it until "next year" to start.

This sounds great though! You've given me some great ideas :) thanks for the post!

  2. That looks like a great diary, Ingrid! I have a Lily Pulitzer one that I really love. It's American and so, to fit in with the American schooling year it starts in August. Mine goes from August 2011 to December 2012 but I will be purchasing. I love the diary and, considering I found it when I lost my diary mid year, IT'S PERFECT!

I have a 2012 "life planner" from an American website Erincondren.com, including postage was around $60-$70 which I thought was quite a lot but I treated myself so I had something nice to keep track of appts during pregnancy. You've inspired me to do my own post on my planner!!
