Favourite Oils: Lanolips, Organix and Sukin.

I am definitely an oil person, I just love them. You only need a little bit to make a big difference and after a bit of trial and error I have found my top three oils. I use these daily and they stay on my nightstand so the last thing I do before bed is to re-apply my oils so that I can wake up with hydrated and happy hair, skin and nails. These are all budget items and ring in for less than $25 at the till and they last for a long time. A little goes a long way.
I use the Lanolips Herbal Treatment Body Oil on my body after a shower, as a treatment mask/serum/moisturiser, under the eyes, on my nails and to treat the occasional pimples when they are retreating. It smells wonderful and is filled with ingredients like lanolin, pine and eucalyptus. So refreshing!

Rose Hip Oil is an oil I have used for years and I love the change it has made on my skin. I use it on my face, as an eye serum, on my lips for added moisture, on my cuticles, mixed into my moisturiser and more. I am not brand loyal to Rose Hip Oil and have used Kora, Trilogy and Sukin in the past. I currently use one from Sukin and it is lovely. The smell might take some time to get used to but I don't mind it anymore.

For my hair I have used the Hydrating Macadamia Oil from Organix for the last few months and the bottle still feels like it is full. It smells so nice and I use a teaspoon amount every night on my hair from the ears down. I also use it after a shower as a little treatment plus as a styling oil if I need to control frizz during the day. I do like multi-purpose products and the Macadamia Oil delivers. Another bonus is that I rub the leftover oil into my hands after use and they stay nice and soft. I don't like the idea of wasting product so I usually do this with other moisurisers too.

Do you like oils? What are you currently using?

Xx I

  1. I've been wanting to try a macademia oil hair treatment, may just have to give that one a go. I really like Neutrogena's Sesame oil as a body moisturiser, I've nearly finished an entire bottle!

  3. I was using Rosehip oil for a while when a beauty therapist told me it didn't suit my skin type, so I stopped. What is your recommendation? I've been using the Moroccan oil on my hair and I keep getting compliments on how good it look...WIN!

    1. Oooh, I think you should listen to your therapist, they are usually the experts:) Whilst rosehip oil may not suit your skin, it is still a wonderful product for your lips, cuticles and under the eyes.

Love that you are getting comments on your hair, such a lovely feeling x
