Project 50 Pan

It's time. I'm going to start Project 50 Pan which basically means to finish 50 products in your collection before you buy anything new. Some may think that 50 products is a high number but for a beauty blogger it is not. I am doing this because I am looking forward to saving some money and I also have a bit of travelling coming up so I want to see how much I can save until then. I also need to stop buying another polish or lip product when I already have so many from before. If you're more interested in what P50P means you can check out this blog post from Marked beauty about it.
I have already finished four products and it was a lot easier than I thought. Previously I've never really finished a hand cream before but it's easy when you carry it around with you everywhere and apply it non-stop.

ULittleBeauty nourishing hand cream is definitely a favourite of mine and it won the hand cream olympics in July. It smells sensational and is filled with goodies like Kakadu Plum and Aloe Vera. It left my hands so moisturised through the coldest parts of winter and I would definitely re-purchase this product.

Kit Lip Balm SPF 15 is sweetly scented and I loved it for it's SPF 15 protecting powers. It wasn't a great lip balm for me because it didn't moisturise my lips very well and I had to re-apply the balm for added moisture and protection. I will not re-purchase the lip balm.

Lanolips 101 Ointment is a long-time favourite of mine and I just love everything about it. The packaging with lady lamb's fluttering lashes, the many ways I can use the product (for lips, cuticles, eye brow gel and on the nose) and it's all natural based. I will re-purchase the ointment again and again.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm is a glow-inducing cream which you can use on its own or as a primer before you put your foundation on. It gave me such a bright face and worked really well as a primer too. This is also fantastic as a mask for 10-15 minutes if you want to glow even more. I will re-purchase the Flash Balm, or maybe wait until Clarins do a GWP so that I can get more bang for the buck.

I have also sadly unsubscribed from many of my favourite beauty newsletters so that I won't fall into temptation. Kit Cosmetics and Adore Beauty, I'm looking at you.

I am really excited and a little scared about Project 50 Pan but I feel like it is the right thing to do and I know it will be worth it in the end.

Have you done P50P? How many beauty products do you own?

Xx

  1. I don't even want to think about how many products I have but I will say that I do double up so I don't have to cart things around from my place to the boys. Sounds like a good idea though except that I'll have to buy some primer before I start as I have none!

You'll be amazed at how much you can save when you don't buy so many products on a whim. I tend to walk around priceline, pick things up, carry them, and then put them all back and walk out. You still get the thrill of selecting and I've never gotten home and been like "Damn, I wish I bought that!"

    1. I know, it's a scary thought isn't it? At least you have a good excuse since you live in between two spaces:)

I agree, I have already saved a little this week - going in a pharmacy and I only bought chewing gum - wheras usually I would check out a few things and then purchase something I don't need Xx
