DVF iPhone Cover from Shopbop

I recently purchased a new iPhone cover and I went a little upmarket. After all, I am slightly addicted to my phone so I wanted it to have a good new home. I landed on the Hearts case from Diane von Furstenburg and I purchased it from Shopbop for $28. I really like Shopbop because they have quick shipping, it's free over $100 and their selection of clothes and accessories is amazing. They also have an excellent tech accessory collection.

Another fantastic aspect of Shopbop is their customer service. My first order (which also included earrings and a knit) went missing and never arrived in my hands. Although DHL had marked the delivery as being recived with "signature on file" it never happened and I do wonder if they went to the wrong house. Hopefully whoever received my goodies loved it. When I alerted Shopbop to the situation, Emily S from customer service responded really quickly and was super helpful. She followed up with DHL, the driver couldn't offer any more information and after further investigations, I was offered two choices. Since the knit and earrings had sold out, I could either get the whole order refunded, or they could send me a new cover and the other two items would be refunded. I chose the latter and was very excited to receive it within three days. I just don't know how they do it. So fast!
Here I am being all matchy matchy matchy. As you do!
After I received the Hearts cover I made sure to write Emily and email thanking her so much for her assistance and how happy I was with the service I received. I think it is just as important to give good feedback as it is to give constructive feedback, because there are far too many people who have it too good and complain about really small issues. When I worked in hotels I had a guest complain in writing about the fact that there was too much rain falling on the windows. In disbelief I had to respond to the guest advising that we would be doing our best to investigate whether anything could be done.

Then again, the other day I tweeted how I feared my chipped toe nail would prevent me from feeling zen in yoga. A total first world problem, I know, but it was still good to let it out. It turns out I was too busy sweating and doing Bikram's poses to even worry about it.

Which case does your phone live in? Have you tried Shopbop before? Thoughts on service feedback?

Xx I

  4. I need a new iPhone cover and have my eye on a pink leopard print looking Marc Jacobs one from Shopbop. I've never treated myself to a designer iPhone cover before, but I think you may have just convinced me! I also totally agree with you about telling someone when they've done a great job. I don't think people hear it enough. xx

  5. This cover is great Ingrid - I love the matchy matchy bright red that you are sporting int the photo!! I LOVE giving people positive feedback as it hopefully encourages them to to continue with this great service. I also vote with my feet - keep going back to retailers who treat me well, and stop shopping where people are rude and unhelpful!
