David Jones Beauty Book + Deluxe Sampler Tote

With spring approaching, another David Jones Beauty Book has been released and I really like it. If you cannot get in store, you can have a browse of the Beauty Book online to check out all the fantastic offers, makeup tips from Napoleon Perdis and a look at the Germany collection from OPI. Miranda Kerr is looking beautiful on the cover, wearing DeVine Goddess Lipstick in Calypso.

With every beauty purchase you can purchase the Deluxe Sampler Tote for $19.95. It is valued at over $105 and contains some exciting products. New for this season is that the tote is canvas and I must say that I prefer it over the plastic it used to be. The design is also gorgeous.
Because I love Dermalogica products, I went for the tote that had the Gentle Cream Exfoliant in it. I have used it before and really like it.
The products are packed in a clear toiletry bag which is super handy to keep in your handbag because you don't have to look around for things.
Here we have the David Jones Men's Hair & Body Wash (which I will donate to my man), the Aromatherapy Co. Therapy Pulse Point which looks super exciting, especially for when you can't sleep at night. Then there is the Natio Body Butter which is perfect for the colder season, and a Foundation Brush from David Jones Beauty which will blend into my existing brush collection quite nicely.
I also received the India Hicks Island Living Hand Therapy from Crabtree & Evelyn. Hopefully this will make me feel like I am on holidays! The aforementioned Gentle Cream Exfoliant makes and appearance, as does a turqoise shimmery polish from OPI. I really like OPI minis because the chance of finishing the bottle is higher, but I wish they would label them with names so that I would know which shade it is. I really like the colour. There is also a sample of Grown Lip Balm included and I can't wait to try it. Grown is an organic brand which I've heard great things about but I haven't tried any of their products. I also received a Face Mapping Voucher for Dermalogica which could be interesting.
The beauty purchase I made in order to qualify for the Deluxe Sampler Tote was Nothin' Mouse About It from OPI. It is a pink glittery polish with little hearts! So pretty and girly. It was released in the Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection which is full of pink polishes and mousy names.
I'm most excited about trying the Sleep oil, the lip balm and the cream exfoliant. The tote has everything I need to be ready for spring and I am excited!

Do you like the David Jones Beauty Book? Did you like the products available in the Deluxe Sampler Tote? Why don't they put names on OPI minis?

Xx I

  2. I always look forward to the DJ's beauty book. The sampler tote looks like it's really good value, I'm regretting not picking one up now.

I'm pretty sure the mini polish you got is Austin-Tatious Turquoise from the Texas collection. It's a beautiful colour.

  4. I was so tempted to pick this up but I already have the India Hicks hand cream and I think I have the same mini OPI colour! I agree with you, it's a little frustrating that we don't know what colours we get in the minis. I have yet to get through a full bottle of polish!

BTW, I have been struggling with the temptation not to buy that same polish 'Nothing Mousie About It'...how cute is it with those pink glitter hearts?!

Do let me know what you think of that sleep oil, won't you? I think I could use something like that!
