Review: Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Instant Recovery Mask

It's not a secret that my hair experimenting over the past 12 months four years have damaged my hair. Going from coloured brunette to highlighted blonde and back to brunette again three times is not something your hair cares for, just quietly. Before I could get away with the ocassional hair treatment but now I am doing a non-negotiable twice a week treatment regime and this is where the Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Instant Recovery Mask makes its grande entrance for an economical $19.99. Because you get a chunk of 237 mls of treatment, it will last you quite a while so don't be shy when you are applying the mask to your stunning locks of hair.
And what does it promise to do, except for being scentsationally scented? The Instant Recovery Mask aims to repair damaged and hair that has been excessively heat-styled. Cue guilty look on my face. Even though I always add a heat-protectant to my hair before blowdrying/curling/straightening, nothing is as good for your hair as to let it dry naturally. The problem in winter is that you can't walk outside with wet hair either becaues your hair will start looking like iciciles. At least in Norway it will, and yes I am speaking from experience.
The only thing you can do is to be reactive and treat your hair like you are taking it to a five star hotel. With ingredients like keratin and awapuhi ginger (a Hawaiian beauty secret) your hair won't be left out when it comes to the infusion of nutrients and moisture. I like to apply the mask into dry hair (so naughty), wrap a towel around it and you will instantly feel that it heats up and works its magic. I leave it on for 20-60 minutes depending on what I'm doing (ahem, how long the TV show I'm watching is) and rinse it out afterwards. To call my hair soft afterwards would be a massive understatement. Of course, the usual way of applying the Instant Recovery Mask to wet hair also does the trick, but it's just not as fun.
I am also very partial to any product mentioning the word Ginger as my dear friend and ex-flatmate Marthe is a ginger in her own right. We are such an innovative bunch of friends that we call her Ginger because of her gorgeous red hair.
After using the Organix Instant Recovery Mask I have noticed that my hair is healthier and bouncier, and I think this is because the mask is suitable for any hair type, coloured and non-coloured. My hair also feels more voluminous whereas usually masks can leave my already fine hair a little bit flat.

You can purchase the Organix range from retailers including Priceline, Coles and Woollies.

How do you take care of your hair? Are you a fan of Hawaiian beauty secrets? Do you have a ginger friend? Are you a hair mask fan?
