Mecca Cosmetica Brush With Success

I may be mistaken, but I don't think brush cleaning is high on the list of fun things to do for most people. But it is an important thing to do and the easier it is, the more enjoyable it will be for both you and your brushes. I have been using Brush With Success from Mecca Cosmetica for two years and I recently had to replace it. It is a little exxy at $22 for 125 mls but it lasts for a long time and gets the job done. No harm is caused to your brushes either because the brush cleanser is gentle and effective.

The directions are very simple and the ingredient list is nice and short. Mecca also does not do animal testing.
The packaging is nice and clean, and I will do my best to not lose the plastic lid this time. I always seem to lose the lids and it's just not cool. I am going to add it on my so-far-so-short self-improvement list.
The only thing that puzzles me is that the box has 12m as the used by date, whereas the bottle has 24m. I think I will trust the bottle but I am going to ask Mecca for further clarification.
If you do it regularly, cleaning your brush will literally only take five seconds. All you need is a tissue, the cleanser and the brush. I always spritz both sides and gently wipe off with the tissue. You don't have to rinse it out and it usually dries very quickly but it does depend on the size of the brush.
Ta-da, I present to you a clean and happy Ecotools concealer brush.
My brushes have recently been transported to a new home and it's so handy to have them all in one place. I used to have them in different toiletry bags but I got over it and it's much better to see them in their blingy crib.
I actually enjoy cleaning my brushes because of Brush With Success due to the ease of use and how little effort I have to put into the process. Snaps all around.

How often do you clean your brushes? How do you do it?

Xx

  1. I am a little slack with my brush cleaning - I keep forgetting as they are tucked away in the bathroom cupboard, and when I do see them, I'm usually in a rush. I need to set myself a regular reminder. I clean mine in exactly the same way you do, but with a generic brush cleaning solution from Priceline.

    1. Maybe set a cleaning reminder in your phone? I usually just clean a brush after I've used it. That way it's ready by the time I want to use it again:) X
