The Massage

Today I went and had a massage because the gift voucher I had received about a year ago was almost about to expire and since my timetable is quite vacant at the moment it felt like the right thing to do. I didn't have high expectations because when I called and made the appointment the salon manager sounded quite stressed and I thought that this wasn't a good sign but at the end of the day, I didn't want the voucher expiring either.

I ended up being very pleasantly surprised because the manager was lovely, the salon was beautiful and get this: They had heated massage tables. Heated! I am always cold when having treatments and will request extra blankets or even wear socks (hot hot hot), but this time I didn't have to worry about it. I would go back for that only. I know in Norway it's common with heated bathroom floors but I hadn't come across it whilst having a massage. I walked out of there with a big smile and my shoulders were so relaxed, it was absolutely delightful!
I then came home, tried four different handcreams (stay tuned) and had a very productive two-hour nap before deciding to make cupcakes. Chocolate goodies with pink glitter. Yes please!
It may just be me but I always sleep better when I am on my boyfriend's side of the bed. Could it be because I'm not meant to be there and that's why it's so fun or is it just because a change is as good as a holiday?

What do you think of the revelation that is heated massage tables? Do you want me to ship you a cupcake? The bed sleeping theory?

Xx

  2. I want a cupcake!!

I'm with you on the bed theory. I also sleep better when my boyfriend is over or I'm at his place. My theory is that because I'm always so cold and he's always so hot, it's the perfect temperature for me when he's there.

I also don't like massages. I feel I'm the only one because everyone raves about them but I just don't find them relaxing. And I've had a few!
