If there is one look I can't get enough of, it is a nice slide of eyeliner on the lids. You can apply it after eyeshadow, keep it natural or double it up like Duchess Catherine. Because I have such dark circles under my eyes, I generally never double line my eyes. I prefer using a gel liner because the consistency is nice and soft whilst the brush gives you a lot of precision. When I went on
holidays last year I used Maybelline's Gel Liner and whilst it works just fine, I kept getting dark circles above my eyes because it wasn't waterproof, and the brush comes seperately to the pot so it's not practical for travelling. Luckily,
SHE has solved the problem for me. Their
Gel Eyeliner is both waterproof and has a brush built into the lid. It is so clever and at a price of $14.95 it just won't break the bank.
The SHE liner just belongs in my handbag. It is a perfect match, and there will be no spillage. It also lasts all day long because it is smudgeproof. If you prefer you can either keep the brush seperate from the lid or attach it to get a longer brush handle for more user friendliness.
I prefer attaching the brush to the lid because I feel like I am more precise with my application. After I have used the brush I just rinse it in hot water and gently dry it off with a tissue.
Depending on the angle of how you apply the Gel Liner, you can either get a thick or thin line. Lovely black SHE is obviously being modelled on a Union Jack cushion to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
I am wearing the Gel Liner + Revlon's Lip Butter in
Strawberry Shortcake. I believe this is an absolutely tremendous combination and it shows that keeping it simple is not a bad thing.
What do you think of gel liners? Do you have a favourite? How do you like to wear it?

I will definitely give that a go. Most disappointed with the movement of my Maybelline gel liner on Saturday night. Liz Taylor would not have approved!
ReplyDeleteI would love to hear what you think about it:) I can't stand it when a gel liner moves, it is just so annoying. You looked amazing as Liz xx
DeleteI need to practice my application of the gel liner- I may have to try this one while practising. Also, love that strawberry shortcake lip butter on you- looks great!!
ReplyDeletePractice makes perfect. And if not, there is always makeup remover;) X

DeleteReally like the look of this, I've only ever used kohl pencils on the under part and felt tip eyeliners on the top. It seems like a nifty little product and great price too!
