I Give Thee Six Makeup Removers

Makeup removers are the unsung champions that undo the great face sculpturing we have created for the day. A makeup remover should be efficient, not sting your eyes and be gentle. I have tried many makeup removers and I believe you need a few different ones to accommodate how you are feeling at night. For instance when I work late I often like to use wipes because they are so easy. Other days I just want to use pads or my normal cleanser to wipe it all off. Then there are the liquid makeup removers for wiping off mascara/eye liner mistakes and an all-round job.
The Almay eye makeup remover pads are gentle, effective and packaged in a clever way which is suitable for travelling. I usually use two pads per eye and I get great results. It has no fragrance. The Garnier Clean Sensitive Gentle Eye Make-up Remover is also very soothing with ingredients such as Plant Extract and Pro-vitamin B5. It does the job and is fragrance free. Non-stinging eyes guaranteed.
Estee Lauder has a beauttiful Gentle Eye Makeup Remover that I received as a GWP. I like the packaging and the makeup remover is suitable for all skin types, but I won't be buying the full size because it is too expensive considering Garnier and L'Oreal can do the job perfectly for less coin. I have used the L'Oreal Gentle Make-Up Remover for Eyes & Lips for a decade (it is a super market staple in Norway). I like that you have to shake it before use because it is a fun thing to do, and it does a great job of removing waterproof makeup.
The Yes to Blueberries and Yes to Cucumbers are both fantastic makeup removal wipes which are perfect for when you are tired or have had one too many vinos in a night. I prefer the blueberry wipes because they smell better but both wipes do a great job of cleansing your skin whilst being non-irritating.

What is your preferred makeup remover? Do you prefer pads, wipes or liquid?

Xx

  2. Hi Elvira, I agree but sometimes those wipes are just so dinging handy. I prefer Garnier actually, it was both cheaper and more gentle to use xx
