Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow.

I explained in my Beauty Confessions post that I was way overdue for a haircut. For the last few years I have just trimmed my hair and it ended up growing to the longest it's been. I need a change and I went to Pixie Hair + Makeup for it. My hair was boring me and it felt like a giant rats tail. I need a better concealer too but that's a story for another day.
At the hairdressers I saw this picture of Rachael Taylor and really liked it. I suggested this style for my hair to Pixie but she kindly advised that my hair is too fine to sustain this look. A great hairdresser will always give honest advice and I am glad she did.
My plan was to have this much chopped off.

My hair was first washed twice and conditioned with Original Mineral's products which by now you now I have a love affair with. Then it was put up in a towel donut.
I loved the decor of the salon. My coffee was delicious too.
And after the big chop, this is how it looks from the back. My hair was blowdried straight and then curled with the marvel that is a Cloud 9 iron. I want one but for now I will stay satisfied with my trusty Remington Hot Wand. It is shorter in the back and longer at the front. J'adore.
 Goodbye hair!
 New hair.
I don't think I'll realise how short it is until I try to condition the ends because there is hardly anything left.

How often do you have your hair cut? Do you like change or are you a trimmer?

Xx
