How to Pack for a Weekend Away

For my weekend away in Hunter Valley, I didn't want to bring much. Less is more they say and this is also true when it comes to packing. I brought a big Oroton tote and a small Forever New bag. I always do this because it is so handy to have a small bag instead of carrying a big bag around.
Almost everything I brought fit into the Estee Lauder toiletry bag, except for the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. I am loving the Flash Balm and I used it as a night cream mask for glowing skin. This also reduced the products I would need.
I also brought the Australis tinted moisturiser for day time (it also has SPF 15), the Natio roll on deodorant, an Estee Lauder cleanser, L'Occitane volumising shampoo and conditioner, Jurlique hand sanitizer (great for road trips) and Elizabeth Arden's red door perfume.
I brought a small Ojon hair oil, my trusted Garnier Roll-On concealer, Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion, a Rimmel mascara, Estee Lauder's time zone eye cream, Bobbi Brown creme blush, a sample of Turkish Delight from Lush, another sample of the Body Shop Chocomania body butter, two eye liners (one is never enough) and the Diorshow Eyebrow styler.
All in all I am happy with what I packed but I would recommend not to bring a cleanser you haven't used before. The EL cleanser was said to be gentle but it had small exfoliating beads in it so it was hopeless to use to remove makeup. The Time Zone eye cream was about to run out so I should have checked that too before packing it. My favourite product was the Bobbi Brown creme blush and the Flash Balm, both so handy and multi-purpose.

What are your must-haves for packing? Do you pack last-minute or are you more organised?

Xx
